Weddings at Holme


Holme for Gardens is the ideal venue for a Purbeck Wedding. The Event Field is situated perfectly to make the most of the glorious gardens, open countryside, strawberry fields and orchards. Drinks and canapés can be held around the idyllic ponds, followed by a meal of your choice in a Wedding Marquee to your specification on the Event Field.

This Dorset Wedding Venue is set up to ensure all your venue needs are taken care of, to leave you the enjoyment of planning the final details.

Your guests are also welcome to camp on the site (for a small extra charge) and breakfast can be served in the Orchard Café to finish off the weekend perfectly!

Blue Bay Events' dedicated team are on hand to offer you wedding planning guidance and On the Day Coordination for your wedding. Their team are also available to hire for their Full Event Planning Package, their Final Few Months Package and their Venue Design and Set Up Services, if required to assist further with your special day!

This Purbeck Wedding Venue is perfect for anybody seeking an outdoor wedding with beautifully dressed marquees. The event ground is tranquil and surrounded by beautiful gardens and grounds.

Our 2021 Events were mostly SOLD OUT on each performance, and we cannot Thank enough the companies involved. The 'critically acclaimed theatre company 'Chapterhouse', The Team of professional actors and directors from 'Folksy Theatre', 'Rain or shine, Gloucester based professional theatre company, our very own 'Top Notes' with Emma, a youth theatre company based in Wareham and the amazing 'Pastures New' with Mezzo-soprano Grace Lovelass, tenor Matt Connolly and pianist Toby Nelms , a local musical theatre and comedy trio who performed Songs from the stage performed in our Beautiful open air Amphitheatre. Next Year’s performance dates are coming very soon.

The Gardens

I am looking forward to showing the Gardens off this year to you all . The 22'000 new bulbs will start showing at the end of January and I can't wait for you to see my new project. I have called it Butterfly Valley. It includes a lake, a mix of perennial wildflowers to adorn the valley sides and I hope this will be completed before Summer! So many more ideas yet, but I have been told to keep them to myself for now........ The Gardens are FREE to enjoy now until the end of February, perfect for a winters walk. From March the cost of the day pass will be £5 and the season ticket only £15. Join us as we grow together! Simon

After our very successful events last year, we are holding 4 plays in the Amphitheatre in 2020. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens before hand, then sit back and enjoy the Live performances.

This money goes straight to the Lewis-Manning Hospice and supports the tremendous work staff and volunteers do with patients and their families who face life-limiting illnesses. This year we will be asking customers for a small contribution of just £4.00 per adult towards the upkeep of the gardens and the addition of new ongoing features and inspirational designs. Also available is our 2019 season ticket of just £12 per person.
