No trip to Holme is complete without exploring what the gardens have to offer. We offer large groups a bespoke garden tour with Simon Goldsack, for more information please call 01929 554716. We accept coach parties by arrangement.
With modern housing developments reducing the size of gardens we hope the people of Purbeck and visitors from further afield see Holme as their place to find some outdoor space and enjoy floral displays on a scale that they simply may not have time or the resources to create in their own garden and which certainly are no longer provided by local authorities.
This year we will be asking customers for a small contribution of just £4.00
per adult towards the upkeep of the gardens and the addition of new ongoing features and inspirational designs. Also available is our 2019 season ticket
of just £12
per person.
NB: Dogs on leads are welcome in the gardens but may not be taken onto the fruit farm and owners must clear up should their dog not be able to contain itself.
Our 2021 Events were mostly SOLD OUT on each performance, and we cannot Thank enough the companies involved. The 'critically acclaimed theatre company 'Chapterhouse', The Team of professional actors and directors from 'Folksy Theatre', 'Rain or shine, Gloucester based professional theatre company, our very own 'Top Notes' with Emma, a youth theatre company based in Wareham and the amazing 'Pastures New' with Mezzo-soprano Grace Lovelass, tenor Matt Connolly and pianist Toby Nelms , a local musical theatre and comedy trio who performed Songs from the stage performed in our Beautiful open air Amphitheatre. Next Year’s performance dates are coming very soon.
I am looking forward to showing the Gardens off this year to you all . The 22'000 new bulbs will start showing at the end of January and I can't wait for you to see my new project. I have called it Butterfly Valley. It includes a lake, a mix of perennial wildflowers to adorn the valley sides and I hope this will be completed before Summer! So many more ideas yet, but I have been told to keep them to myself for now........ The Gardens are FREE to enjoy now until the end of February, perfect for a winters walk. From March the cost of the day pass will be £5 and the season ticket only £15. Join us as we grow together! Simon
After our very successful events last year, we are holding 4 plays in the Amphitheatre in 2020. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens before hand, then sit back and enjoy the Live performances.
This money goes straight to the Lewis-Manning Hospice and supports the tremendous work staff and volunteers do with patients and their families who face life-limiting illnesses.
