Wildlife Pond

This is the reservoir for the irrigation for the fruit farm and the nursery and is topped up with water from the River Frome.

Although it has a practical purpose, Jim and Simon Goldsack are keen on wildlife and have taken the opportunity to stock the pond with native plants. As a result, the pond is now teeming with wildlife such as newts, frogs, toads, dragonflies, damsel flies plus many other frequent aquatic visitors such as bats, herons and swallows that use hte water to cement their nests.
